Information We Collect

Fairway Edge collects minimal data. We do not require user accounts, logins, or personal information to use the free prediction tool.

The categories of information we may collect are:

Information you provide directly:

Email address (if you subscribe to the newsletter)
Payment information (if you subscribe to the premium newsletter — processed and stored entirely by Stripe via Beehiiv; Fairway Edge never receives or stores your credit card number, CVV, or billing details)
Any information you voluntarily share through direct communication with us (e.g., Twitter DMs, email correspondence)

Information collected automatically:

Anonymous, aggregate usage data such as page views, device type, browser type, and referring URLs
Country-level geographic data derived from IP addresses (no precise location tracking)
Basic performance and error data to maintain site functionality

We do not collect, store, or process any of the following: personal betting data or wager history, precise location or GPS data, social media account credentials, biometric data, or data about minors.

Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal data under the following legal bases:

Consent: When you voluntarily subscribe to the newsletter or contact us, you consent to the processing of the information you provide.
Contractual necessity: When you purchase a premium subscription, we process your email and subscription data to deliver the service you paid for.
Legitimate interest: We collect anonymous analytics data to understand how the site is used and to improve the service. This data cannot identify individual users.

If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email address is collected and stored by our newsletter provider, Beehiiv. Beehiiv processes this data under their own privacy policy (available at beehiiv.com/privacy).

Beehiiv may collect additional data on our behalf, including email open rates, click-through rates, and subscription status. This data is used solely to measure newsletter performance and improve content quality.

We do not sell, rent, or share subscriber email addresses with third parties for marketing purposes.

You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link included in every email. Upon unsubscription, your email address will be removed from our active mailing list. Beehiiv may retain certain records as required by law or for their own legitimate business purposes, as described in their privacy policy.

Cookies and Tracking

We use minimal, essential cookies required for basic site functionality. We do not use third-party tracking cookies, retargeting pixels, or advertising trackers.

We do not use your information for:

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for their own marketing purposes.

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.

In the event Fairway Edge is acquired, merged, or has its assets transferred, subscriber data may be among the assets transferred. We will notify affected subscribers before any such transfer occurs.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

Newsletter subscriber data (email, subscription status): Retained while you are an active subscriber. Removed from our active list upon unsubscription. Beehiiv may retain records per their own policy and legal obligations.
Payment and transaction records: Retained by Stripe and Beehiiv for the period required by applicable tax and financial regulations (typically 3–7 years).
Anonymous analytics data: Retained indefinitely in aggregate form, as it cannot be used to identify any individual.
Direct communications (emails, DMs): Retained for up to 24 months for customer support purposes, then deleted.

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

Unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in any email
Request information about what personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate personal data
Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, to request deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information. European Economic Area residents (GDPR): If applicable, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, and port your personal data, as well as the right to object to processing and to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact us using the information below. Note that Fairway Edge is a US-based service and does not specifically target EEA residents; however, we will make reasonable efforts to honor these rights for any user who requests them.

We will respond to verified requests within 30 days, or within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the personal information we process. These include:

Using HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted to and from the site
Storing prediction and analytics data on Supabase with row-level security policies
Never storing payment information on our own servers (handled entirely by Stripe)
Limiting access to subscriber data to the site operator only
Using environment variables for all API keys and credentials (never committed to source code)

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy

Fairway Edge is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a person under 21, we will delete that information promptly.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. Because there is no accepted standard for how to respond to DNT signals, Fairway Edge does not currently respond to DNT signals. However, as described above, we do not engage in cross-site tracking or targeted advertising.

We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by applicable law (e.g., California).

International Users

Fairway Edge is operated from the United States. If you access the site from outside the US, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

By using the service, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States. We will take reasonable steps to ensure your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. If we make material changes to how we handle personal data, we will notify active newsletter subscribers via email before the changes take effect.

Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
